UCSF Physical Therapy at Lakeshore cares for patients of all ages with movement dysfunction. We are dedicated to helping patients recover and meet their physical function goals.
We offer personalized evaluations, education, and therapies to aid healing, restore function and improve performance. These therapies, available both in person and via telehealth, include exercise plans, functional activities and neuromuscular reeducation. We evaluate each patient carefully in order to design a treatment program that meets their individual needs.
We treat movement impairments related to conditions such as:
- Amputations
- Balance dysfunction
- Brain injuries
- Chronic heart and lung conditions
- Chronic pain
- Gait abnormalities
- Joint replacements
- Neurodegenerative conditions, such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease
- Spine disorders
- Stroke
Referral policy
Our clinic accepts referrals for established patients of UCSF and UCSF affiliates. Referrals should be dated within the past two months.
If you would like to become a UCSF patient:
- Search for a UCSF primary or specialty care provider in your insurance network.
- Schedule an appointment.
- At your appointment, request a referral for physical therapy or rehabilitation. Specialists in orthopedics and neurology can typically provide referrals for these services.
